Cheat Meals

Once, twice or even three times a week (depending on your activity level and metabolism) allow yourself a 'cheat meal' . This can be a high fat, high carb meal you may have been craving all week. What this does is:

  1. Keeps you sane
  2. Helps keep your metabolism from slowing down.

A slow metabolism is not what you want. If you always eat low fat your body will go into survival mode and hang on to every ounce of fat it can. I like to keep my fat intake more on the moderate level, but definitely low on the bad fats (saturated fats). Doing this keeps skin, joints and organs healthy and makes it much easier to burn fat when you really want to.
